MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP
Micro-needling is a non-surgical technique that is applied to the skin after being prepped with a lidocaine gel to create numbness. The process utilizes a power handpiece to create tiny channels into the dermis of the skin, which initiates the body’s natural healing process to create collagen and elastin.
What can be improved using Microneedling with PRP?
Many skin issues can be improved with microneedling with PRP, including;
- Skin texture, color and tone inconsistencies
- Broken capillaries and large pores
- Scars, such as acne, burn or surgical scars
- Aging and skin discoloration resulting from sun damage
- Fine wrinkles and skin thinning.
What is PRP?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy involves using your own blood-serum, which has been enriched with your own platelets containing various growth factors, in order to remodel and repair skin damage and create a new skin. Growth factors in serum and platelets are the main agents that stimulate and repair the skin.
Natural look with natural injections
Skin rejuvenation with your own safe, natural, and effective serum, resulting in fresh and youthful new skin. This is the best treatment for treating dark circles and thinning of the skin under the eyes as well as lip wrinkles and age-related changes.
What is microneedling and how is it performed?
Microneedling is a type of controlled, painless physical injury that is performed on the skin in order to trigger a healing and repair cascade. After numbing your skin with topical cream, we use a pen-like device for microneedling that creates hundreds of tiny channels in the skin. This first step injures the skin in order to provoke a healing cascade. In order to help speed and intensify the repair and rejuvenation of your skin, we inject and apply your own processed serum “PRP” to the skin. Here you can watch a video of microneedling.

How is the serum obtained and processed?
After answering all of your questions, we apply numbing cream to the area of planned treatment. While you are waiting for the cream to work, we draw a tube of your blood and separate the red blood cells from the serum-containing platelets, which are rich in substances that repair injured tissue.
PRP provides nourishment to the skin in order to repair and build new skin in the areas where microneedling has been performed.
Who is a candidate for microneedling with PRP?
Microneedling with PRP is available to almost anyone because it is a natural procedure with minimal side effects. It is particularly ideal for candidates with darker skin.
Can the procedure be repeated for a better result?
Yes. In fact, we recommend repeating the treatment three times over the course of several months. We will instruct you regarding how to continue nourishing your skin in-between treatments so that you can achieve optimal final results. Since people are constantly exposed to skin-damaging agents and are subjected to the effects of aging, patients may choose to repeat this type of skin rejuvenation from time to time in order to maintain ideal skin health.
Can this procedure be combined with other procedures?
Yes. Your particular skin issues and goals will be discussed and a treatment plan will be formulated. We can combine the above treatment with fillers, Botox, laser or even surgery. Microneedling can also be performed without PRP. In this treatment, we use topical products rather than serum in order to achieve milder skin rejuvenation. Does this procedure hurt? Before the procedure, we apply topical cream to the skin while you are waiting for your blood to be processed. This is sufficient to perform the procedure with rarely any discomfort.
